Rescue Stories

January 10, 2008

Last week Jennifer and her two daughters, with two helpful friends, Carol and Micheal, caught a wild mother dog and her 11 puppies way out in the Ejidos. First they noticed that one of the dogs who was pregnant at Carol's feeding station was no longer carrying puppies. So we followed the mother dog and saw where she was hiding her little ones. Then they set a humane coyote trap and filled it with hotdogs, waiting for the mom to go in. Well it did not take long and they had her. After the mom dog was fairly calm, Carol climed in under the tree and pulled out 11 beautiful 2 week old puppies. The mom and pups are fine and staying at the rescue. Come and see them anytime.

BONNIE CAME TO SAN FELIPE ANIMAL RESCUE LAST CHRISTMAS. SHE WAS SICK, MALNOURISHED, AND COVERED WITH MANGE. WE SLOWLY NURSED HER BACK TO HEALTH AND IN DOING SO FOUND SHE WAS A LITTLE ANGEL OF A BOXER. SHE BLOSSOMED WITH THE LOVE AND CARE WE GAVE HER. SHE WAS KIND TO ALL OF OUR OTHER DOGS AND LOVED PUPPIES AND CHILDREN. SHE WAS FINALLY READY TO GO NORTH TO PETSMART FOR ADOPTION. SHE GOT THE BEST HOME WE COULD HAVE HOPED FOR. THE FAMILY ADORES HER AND SHE HAS BECOME ANOTHER LOVED ONE IN THIS WONDERFUL FAMILY. CONGRATULATIONS BONNIE!! YOU ARE ONE OF THE SWEETEST AND MOST DESERVING DOGS TO HAVE BEEN A PART OF SAN FELIPE ANIMAL RESCUE.
