One
Day Spay/Neuter Marathon
|
These
six puppies are waiting
their turn for surgery
at an SFAR clinic that
was held Friday, June
22nd in Las Minitas. The
Spay/Neuter Clinic successfully
completed 50 surgeries
performed by 2 vets and
several techs, in an all
day spay/neuter marathon.

Attending
veterinarians, Dr Chris Bell
and Dr Elizabeth Ellis , DVM’s
from the Arizona area donated
their time and expertise to
help SAN FELIPE ANIMAL RESCUE
raise its surgery numbers in
June. Thanks to our Vet Techs
from Arizona too, Jay Caughon
and Roberta Carter. Also, thanks
to recovery room assistants
Brianne and Elizabeth. Finally,
thanks to SFAR volunteers Marie,
Mark, Jennifer, Stephanie and
Janice.
Assisting Dr. Bell was her
husband Troy, (pictured in the
photo below), and assisting
Dr. Ellis was her spouse Chris,
(in the photo below). Also pictured
is Ronda Walpole, SFAR founder.
Ronda is a resident of Queen
Creek and Show Low Arizona.
One day she found a beach dog
near her house in San Felipe—she
named him Taxi, and she fell
in love with him—the rest,
as they say is history. Next,
she purchased 10 acres of land
in the desert of Las Minitas.
To date, we have spayed and/or
neutered more than 3000 stray
and indigent street dogs in
San Felipe with a goal of 7000
by 2009. We have placed more
than 1400 stray puppies into
loving, caring, secure homes.
But, our surgery numbers have
plummeted and we need financial
support to get them back up.
Our funding comes primarily
from our newsletter readers,
local supporters, & ARF—
what does not come from those
sources comes directly from
Ronda and Richard Walpole’s
pockets. Won’t you please
send a donation to help sponsor
a dog or puppy for surgery.
